122nd Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 12 September, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Higher Education, submitted by the Government, in principle. The Committee found the Bill to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.


The Committee went on to consider the amendments submitted to the bills on the agenda of the 16th Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 11th Legislature.

The Committee found all 17 of the amendments submitted to the Bill on the Dual Study Model in Higher Education to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.
The Committee also found all of the 23 amendments submitted to the Bill on Regulated Professions and Recognition of Professional Qualifications to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

All 13 of the amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Patents were found to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.
The MPs had submitted 82 amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Copyright and Related Rights which the Committee found to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members also found the 11 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Legal Protection of Topography of Semiconductor Products to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Djordje Komlenski and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Aleksandra Majkic, Dr Mihailo Jokic, Vesna Markovic, Srbislav Filipovic, Bojan Torbica, Dr Balint Pasztor, Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, Petar Petrovic and Milena Corilic.
