At today’s session, the Justice and Administration Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed proposals of decisions on the election of public prosecutors and deputy public prosecutors, put forward by the High Judicial Council.

Committee members challenged three nominees for the office of public prosecutor and 17 nominees for the office of municipal and district deputy public prosecutors. The High Judicial Council submitted to the Committee a decision withdrawing nominations for public prosecutors at the Prokuplje district and municipal public prosecutor’s office.

The Justice and Administration Committee is to continue its eleventh session on Wednesday 30 June, and will discuss the Bankruptcy Proceedings Bill and the Bill on the Trustee Licencing Agency, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
