11th Sitting of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee
At the sitting held on 9 March, the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee considered the 10 bills on the agenda of the First Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2018 within its purview, in detail.
The MPs had submitted 264 amendments to the Bill on Asylum and Temporary Protection out of which the Government accepted 24 and the Committee 22. The Committee also submitted an amendment of its own to Article 50 of the Bill.
Out of the 178 amendments submitted to the Bill on Border Control, the Government and the Committee accepted 10. The Committee also submitted an amendment of its own to Article 70 of the Bill.
Out of the 91 amendments submitted to the Bill on Records and Data Processing in the Field of Internal Affairs, the Government and the Committee accepted nine.
The Government and the Committee accepted one of the 41 amendments submitted to the Bill on National DNA Registry.
The MPs had submitted 33 amendments to the Bill on Personal Identification Number, out of which the Government and the Committee accepted five.
Out of the 16 amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Law on Citizenship of the Republic of Serbia, the Government and the Committee accepted two.
The Government and the Committee accepted 28 out of the 186 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Road Traffic Safety. The Committee also submitted six amendments of its own to articles 6, 78, 79, 80, 93 and 110 of the Bill.
Out of the 106 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Police, the Government and the Committee accepted 10.
The Government and the Committee accepted none of the eight amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Law on Public Peace and Order.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Marija Obradovic, and was attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Stefana Miladinovic, MA Milovan Drecun, Aleksandar Markovic, Zoran Radojicic, Prof. Dr Zoran Dragisic, Dubravka Filipovski, MA Igor Becic and Jasmina Obradovic.
