11th Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 11 March 2023, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government conducted an interview with the eligible candidates on the Candidate List for the election of members of the High Judicial Council and the eligible candidates on the Candidate List for the election of members of the High Prosecutorial Council, elected by the National Assembly.


At the beginning of the sitting Committee Chairman Vladimir Djukanovic reminded the attending that at its 10th sitting on 6 March 2023 the Committee had passed the Decision establishing the interview schedule for the eligible candidates for the election of High Judicial Council and High Prosecutorial Council members elected by the National Assembly.

In accordance with said Decision, the Committee interviewed the candidates in the following order:

  • interview with candidates who meet the requirements for the election of member of the High Judicial Council: Jelena Vuckovic from Nis, Dragan Milicevic from Sabac, Cedomir Kokanovic from Belgrade, Zikica Dronjak from Novi Sad, Nikola Bodiroga from Belgrade, Marina Grbic from Belgrade, Vojkan Simic from Belgrade, Rastko Brajkovic from Belgrade, Dragutin Radosavljevic from Kragujevac, Branislav Manic from Belgrade and Violeta Denic from Nis.
  • interview with candidates who meet the requirements for the election of member of the High Prosecutorial Council: Miroslav Djordjevic from Belgrade, Dusan Puric from Belgrade, Predrag Cetkovic from Novi Sad and Vesna Lukovic from Novi Pazar.
  • interview with candidates who meet the requirements for the election of member of the High Judicial Council and member of the High Prosecutorial Council: Vladimir Simic from Belgrade, Aleksandar Popovic from Belgrade, Srdjan Stefanovic from Belgrade, Nenad Tesic from New Belgrade, Jelena Glusica from Belgrade, Bojan Petrovic from Belgrade and Natasa Delic from Belgrade.
The sitting was attended by representatives of the general and professional public, viz.: representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Constitutional Court, State Prosecutorial Council, Judicial Academy, Chamber of Public Notaries of Serbia, Chamber of Public Executors, Bar Association of Nis, Bar Association of Serbia, Association of Judges of Misdemeanour Courts, Faculty of Law in Kragujevac, Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary in Novi Sad and the Faculty of Law in Belgrade.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Vladimir Djukanovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Bratimir Vasiljevic, Milica Nikolic, Jovan Palalic, Svetozar Vujacic, Andrijana Vasic, Dubravka Kralj, Jelena Milosevic, Dejan Sulkic, Borislav Novakovic, Miodrag Gavrilovic, Ilo Mihajlovski, Dr Balint Pasztor and Prof. Dr Jelena Jerinic.
