The National Assembly accepted the proposal of MP Dr Aleksandar Martinovic to complete a joint debate in principle and single debate on all the items on the agenda.

The National Assembly went on to note the termination of the term of office of MPs Ivana Stojiljkovic and Ljibuska Lakatos.

The National Assembly then commenced the joint debate in principle and single debate on items 1 to 40 on the agenda and the bills were presented by representatives of the submitter Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic and Minister of Culture and the Media Vladan Vukosavljevic.

By the end of the day, the MPs conducted and concluded the joint debate in principle and single debate on items 1 to 40 on the agenda.

On the second day of the proceedings, 13 February, the National Assembly conducted a joint debate in detail on the items on the agenda.

In the course of the proceedings, based on the Decision of the Republic Electoral Commission and the Report of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues, the National Assembly noted the verification of the term of office of MPs Nemanja Radojevic, Vojin Biljic and Andrijana Avramov, elected from the Electoral List ENOUGH IS ENOUGH – SASA RADULOVIC, and Violeta Lutovac and Milan Ljubic, elected from the Electoral List ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – SERBIA IS WINNING, after which the newly-elected MP took the oath of office and the National Assembly Speaker wished them success.

By the end of the day, the National Assembly concluded the debate in detail on the items on the agenda.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate in principle and in detail on all the items on the agenda, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Veroljub Arsic set Thursday, 14 February, as Voting Day on all the items on the agenda of the 11th Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 11th legislature, starting at 10 am.

On Voting Day, 14 February, by majority vote, the National Assembly passed the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Preschool Education, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Primary Education, Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Foundations of the Education System, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Pupil and Student Standards and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Serbian Literary Cooperative.

The National Assembly went on to adopt the Proposal of the Decision on the Election of Court President, Proposal of the Decision on the election of a judge to judicial office for the first time, Proposal of the Decision on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, Proposal of the Decision on the termination of office of President of the Higher Court in Kragujevac and the Proposal of the Decision on the termination of office of Public Prosecutor at the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Kraljevo, as well as the Proposal of the Decision on the termination of office of Public Prosecutor at the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Ruma, Proposal of the Decision on the Election of a member of the Council of the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, electing Dr Ivan Nikolic member of the Council of the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, and the Proposal of the Decision on the termination of office of President of the Securities Commission.

The National Assembly also elected the following members of the National Council for Culture: Dusan Kovacevic, Nikola Suica, Djordje Djuric and Svetislav Bozic proposed by the Government. The National Assembly did not elect any members of the National Council for Culture proposed by cultural institutions founded by the Republic, autonomous provinces or local self-governments, nor any candidates proposed by representative associations and cultural heritage associations. The National Assembly elected academician Tibor Varadi and SANU associate member Miodrag Markovic members of the National Council for Culture at the proposal of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, but did not elect any member proposed by the Council of University of Arts, Conference of Universities of Serbia and national councils of national minorities.

National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic congratulated the newly-elected members of the National Council for Culture on behalf of the MPs and herself, and wished them success.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on all the items on the agenda and ruled on them, National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic concluded the 11th Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 11th legislature.
