The tenth session of the Committee on Defence and Security, held on 14 May 2004, discussed the Report on measures taken and results achieved by the Ministry of the Interior during the state of emergency.
The tenth session of the Committee on Defence and Security, held on 14 May 2004, discussed the Report on measures taken and results achieved by the Ministry of the Interior during the state of emergency.
The session was chaired by the Committee’s chairman, Milorad Mircic, and was attended by the Minister of the Interior, Dragan Jocic, who acquainted members with the May 2003 Report of the former Minister of the Interior, Dusan Mihajlovic.
The head of the Public Security Service, Colonel Miroslav Milosevic, presented a Report compiled by Milan Glisovic, Commanding Officer of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit.
The Inspector-General of the Ministry of the Interior, Vladimir Bozovic, submitted a report relating to the conduct of the Ministry of the Interior and the Service of the Inspector-General.
The Committee resolved to form a Sub-committee tasked with examining the legality of the
actions taken by government bodies during Operation Sabre. The Sub-committee is to be composed of Milorad Mircic, Goran Jaksic, Ivica Dacic, Djordje Mamula, Petar Jojic, Aleksandar Radosavljevic and Bogoljub Pejcic.
