The sitting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, the Environmental Protection Secretariat of the City of Belgrade, Regional Waste Management Centre “Eko-Tamnava”, representatives of CEDEF, CIP and “Kirilo Savic”, as well as representatives of the 11 municipalities in the Republic of Serbia involved in the project.
The representatives of Regional Waste Management Centre “Eko-Tamnava” from Ub provided the basic information on the project. They briefed the Committee members on the problems the project has encountered, stressing that its realisation requires cooperation with the highest level decision-makers.
11 local self-governments i.e. six municipalities of the Valjevo District, Vladimirci and Koceljeva of the Macva District, as well as the Belgrade municipalities of Lazarevac, Obrenovac and Barajevo participate in the work of the Regional Centre.

The participants of the sitting discussed the mechanisms for a successful realisation of the project and made many suggestions on how to address the existing problems.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Branislav Blazic.
