103rd Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues
At the sitting held on 27 April, the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues discussed the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Employment and Unemployment Insurance and the Bill on Use of Sign Language.
Out of the 22 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Employment and Unemployment Insurance, the Committee unanimously found two to be incomplete – the amendment adding a new article after Article 16 viz. Article 16a, jointly submitted by MPs Marko Djurisic, Prof. Dr Janko Veselinovic, Snezana Malovic, Dr Ninoslav Stojadinovic, Biljana Hasanovic Korac, Aleksandar Senic, Branka Karavidic, Goran Bogdanovic, Slobodan Homen, Ivan Karic and Dr Blagoje Bradic, and the amendment adding a new article after Article 19 viz. Article 19a, jointly submitted by the same group of MPs. The Committee found the remaining 20 amendments compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.
Out of the 20 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill on Use of Sign Language, the Committee found that the amendments submitted to articles 9 and 17 by MPs Marko Djurisic, Prof. Dr Janko Veselinovic, Snezana Malovic, Dr Ninoslav Stojadinovic, Biljana Hasanovic Korac, Aleksandar Senic, Branka Karavidic, Goran Bogdanovic, Slobodan Homen, Ivan Karic and Dr Blagoje Bradic, did not comply with the legal system of the Republic of Serbia. The Committee found the remaining 18 amendments compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.
The Committee then proceeded to discuss and establish the Proposal for an authentic interpretation of the provision of Article 54, paragraph 1, of the Law on Higher Education, submitted by MP Dr Vladimir Orlic.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Aleksandar Martinovic.
