Socialists’ Movement - People's Peasant Party - United Peasant Party Parliamentary Group Meets with Members of Party of Socialists of Republic of Moldova
The members of the Socialists’ Movement - People's Peasant Party - United Peasant Party Parliamentary Group met with the members of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova at the National Assembly House to discuss future cooperation.
Djordje Komlenski, Head of PG Socialists’ Movement - People's Peasant Party - United Peasant Party, said that establishing a parliamentary friendship group with Moldova would strengthen relations and cooperation between the two countries. “It is important to us to have a strong and stable country and not be dependent on foreign economy. Twelve years of privatisation has set Serbia back and it is up to us to fix it”, said Komlenski.
Igor Dodon, leader of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova, spoke of the influence and strengthening of socialists in the past years in Moldova, saying he was sure that they will win the coming presidential elections. Dodon also invited the Parliamentary Group to attend the celebration of Moldova’s day of victory over fascism on 24 August and wished the Republic of Serbia to soon set up the new government.
