Second Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2013

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dr Nebojsa Stefanovic convened the Second Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2013, for Friday, 4 October 2013, starting at 10 am.


The National Assembly set an agenda bearing one item:

1. Bill amending the Law on Public Property, submitted by the Government.

At the proposal of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues, the National Assembly noted the termination of the term of office of MP Pavle Markov, before the expiry of the term he was elected for.

At the beginning of the sitting, the National Assembly Speaker invited MP Vuk Jeremic to take the oath of office considering that the international duties which prevented him from taking part in the National Assembly’s work and taking the oath of office when his term of office was verified at the constituting sitting of the National Assembly, have ceased.

At the proposal of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues, based on the Decision of the Republic Electoral Commission, the National Assembly noted the verification of the term of office of MP Slobodan Peric, elected from the LET’S GET SERBIA MOVING – TOMISLAV NIKOLIC Electoral List, who then proceeded to take the oath of office.

In the morning part of the proceedings, the National Assembly commenced a debate in principle on the Bill amending the Law on Public Property, which was presented to the MPs, on the behalf of the submitter, by Minister of Regional Development and Local Self-Government Igor Mirovic.
By the end of the day, the National Assembly had concluded the debate in principle on the Bill amending the Law on Public Property.

On the second day of the proceedings, 6 October, the National Assembly completed a debate in detail on the Bill amending the Law on Public Property.

As the National Assembly had concluded the debate on the only item on the agenda, the Chair, National Assembly Speaker Dr Nebojsa Stefanovic, set Sunday, 6 October 2013, as Voting Day on the only item on the agenda for the Second Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2013, starting at 2.10 pm.

Voting Day

On Voting Day, 6 October, by a majority of votes, the National Assembly adopted the Bill amending the Law on Public Property.

By a majority of votes, the National Assembly ruled that there are justifiable reasons for the Law amending the Law on Public Property to come into force before the legally stipulated deadline, that is on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on the only item on the agenda and ruled on it, the Chair, National Assembly Speaker Dr Nebojsa Stefanovic concluded the Second Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2013.
