Second Session of the Second Regular Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2005

The following agenda was adopted by the National Assembly for the Second Session of the Second Regular Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, convened by the Chairman of the National Assembly, Predrag Markovic, for 10 a.


The following agenda was adopted by the National Assembly for the Second Session of the Second Regular Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, convened by the Chairman of the National Assembly, Predrag Markovic, for 10 a.m. on Wednesday 12 October:


    - Veterinary Medicine Bill, proposed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia;
    - Bill on the Veterinary, Plant Protection and Sanitary Laboratories Agency, proposed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia;
    - Bill Amending the Road Transport Act, proposed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia;
    - Proposal of the Decision Amending the Decision on the Formation of the Board of Inquiry Charged with Ascertaining the Truth about New-born Babies Abducted from Maternity Wards in Several Serbian Cities, proposed by deputies Zivodarka Dacin, Leila Ruzdic-Trifunovic, Snezana Stojanovic-Plavsic, Miroslav Nedeljkovic and Milan Dimitrijevic;
    - Proposal of the Decision Amending the Decision on the Election of Members of Committees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, proposed by deputy Veroljub Stevanovic, chairman of the New Serbia and Independent Deputies 9+9 Deputies’ Group.

At the start of the joint debate in principle on the Veterinary Medicine Bill and the Bill on the Veterinary, Plant Protection and Sanitary Laboratories Agency, the deputies were addressed by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Ivana Dulic-Markovic, as representative of the proposer. She underlined the importance of urgently adopting the Bills, and explained the most important new solutions contained in the new legislation.

On the first day of the session the deputies held joint discussion in principle on the Bills.

Day Two

On the second day of the sitting (13 October), the National Assembly held discussion in principle of the Bill Amending and Modifying the Road Transport Act, the Proposal of the Decision Amending the Decision on the Formation of the Board of Inquiry Charged with Ascertaining the Truth about New-born Babies Abducted from Maternity Wards in Several Serbian Cities, and the Proposal of the Decision Amending the Decision on the Election of Members of Committees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

After the mid-day recess, the National Assembly commenced discussing the particulars of the Veterinary Medicine Bill.

Day Three

On the third day of the sitting (18 October), the National Assembly discussed the particulars of the Veterinary Medicine Bill and the Bill Amending the Road Transport Act.

As the National Assembly had completed discussing all items from the agenda, the Chairman, Predrag Markovic, convened a Voting Day Session for all items from the agenda of the Second Session of the Second Regular Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2005 for 10 a.m. on Thursday 20 October.
