Ninth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2011

At the request of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, convened the Ninth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2011, for Monday, 25 July 2011, starting at 10 a.m.


At the request of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, convened the Ninth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2011, for Monday, 25 July 2011, starting at 10 a.m.

The Request to hold the session set the following agenda:

1. The Proposal of the Decision on the election of president and members of the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia, submitted by the Government.

Before commencing work, the MPs honoured the victims of the massacre in Norway by a minute of silence.

In the course of the day the National Assembly conducted and concluded a unified debate on the Decision Proposal which was explained to the MPs by Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Milutin Mrkonjic, representative of the submitters.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on the only item on the agenda, the Chair, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Gordana Comic, set Thursday, 28 July, as Voting Day on the only item on the agenda for the Ninth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly in 2011, starting at 11.30 a.m.

Voting Day

On Voting Day, 28 July, by a majority of votes, the National Assembly adopted the Proposal of the Decision on the election of president and members of the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia.

As the National Assembly had completed the discussion on the only item on the agenda for the sitting and ruled on it, National Assembly Speaker Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic concluded the Ninth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2011.
