The Ninth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2009, convened by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, at the request of 119 deputies, was held on Wednesday, 8 July 2009, starting at 10 a.m.

The Request to hold the Ninth Extraordinary Session specified only one item on the agenda:

1. Proposal of the Decision on the Dismissal and Appointment of Chairman, Members and Deputy Members of the Republic Electoral Commission, submitted by deputy Nada Kolundzija.

As the National Assembly completed the unified discussion on the Decision Proposal, the National Assembly Speaker, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic set Wednesday, 8 July, as Voting Day, beginning at 1.10 p.m.

On Voting Day, the National Assembly adopted, by a majority of votes (132), the Proposal of the Decision on the Dismissal and Appointment of Chairman, Members and Deputy Members of the Republic Electoral Commission, corrected by the submitter.

Since the National Assembly had completed the discussion on the only item on the agenda and ruled on it, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, concluded the Ninth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2009.
