National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Meets with Moroccan Ambassador to Serbia Mohammed Amine Belhaj

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco H.E. Mohammed Amine Belhaj.

The officials agreed that the bilateral relations between the two countries are at a high level, as evidenced by the intensive political dialogue and dynamics of bilateral visits.

National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic reminded the guest that as Minister of Foreign Affairs he had achieved exceptional cooperation with Morocco and expressed readiness to continue to strengthen the friendly ties by intensifying parliamentary cooperation. He opined that the parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Morocco is well developed, with the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco setting the framework of said cooperation. The two parliaments also cooperate via their respective friendship groups, the one with Morocco in the Serbian and the one with Serbia in the Moroccan Parliament, as well as through the parliamentary committees, said Dacic.

The official visit of National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic to Morocco, at the invitation of the Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives Habib El Malki, was also among the topics of discussion.
