National Assembly Speaker Convenes Ninth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 11th Legislature

At the request of 154 MPs, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic convened the Ninth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for Tuesday, 17 July 2018.


The MPs will be discussing the Bill on Human Cells and Tissues, Bill on Human Organ Transplantation, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Psychoactive Controlled Substances and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Additional Protocol between the Republic of Serbia and the International Atomic Energy Agency to the Agreement between the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the International Atomic Energy Agency for the Application of Safeguards in Connection with the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, submitted by the Government.

They will also consider two decision proposals on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, submitted by the High Judicial Council, as well as the Proposal of the Decision on the termination of office of Public Prosecutor at the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Negotin and the Proposal of the Decision on the Election of Members of the Commission for the Control of the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, submitted by the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government.

The MPs will also debate the Proposal of the Decision amending the Decision on the Establishment of the Composition of the Standing Delegations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to International Parliamentary Institutions, submitted by National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic and the Proposal of the Decision amending the Decision on the Election of Members and Deputy Members of the Committees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, submitted by the Serbian Progressive Party Parliamentary Group.

The session will be held at the Grand Hall of the National Assembly House, starting at 10 am.
