National Assembly Deputy Speaker and PABSEC Vice-President Igor Becic at PABSEC Bureau and Standing Committee Meeting in Bucharest
National Assembly Deputy Speaker and Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) Igor Becic took part in the organisation’s 46th General Assembly, the meeting of the Bureau and Standing Committee, in Bucharest, on 26 November.
The host of the autumn session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation was the Parliament of Romania.
The PABSEC Bureau, comprising the vice-presidents of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, elected a new member of the International Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, responsible for the media and the press. At the proposal of the Serbian delegation to PABSEC, by unanimous decision the PABSEC Bureau elected Senka Pavlovic, secretary of the NARS standing delegation to PABSEC and officer of the NARS Foreign Affairs department, new member of the PABSEC International Secretariat - PABSEC public relations officer.
For the first time in the 22 years of PABSEC Serbia gets a representative in the PABSEC International Secretariat.
At the meeting of the Standing Committee which was held after the meeting of the Bureau, the members adopted proposals for amendments to the PABSEC Rules of Procedure and the 2016 Budget proposal. They also reviewed the organisation’s Activity Report, and activity reports of the Legal and Political Affairs Committee, Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee and the Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee. They also accepted the accreditations of the new members of the national delegations to PABSEC and the requests of the South East Europe Cooperation Process Parliamentary Assembly and the Parliamentary Network of the World Bank to be granted the status of observes with the PABSEC.
