Head of PFG with Greece Receives Sinies Folk Dance Ensemble from Corfu

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Greece Veroljub Arsic received today the members of the Sinies folk dance ensemble from Corfu, guests of the Organisation for Folk Art – Folklore.

Veroljub Arsic said that the relations between the Serbian and Greek people are deep, but the relations between Serbs and the people of Corfu are something else, something special that needs to be preserved. Arsic added that our people would always be grateful for the way the Serbian Army was welcomed to Corfu.

“By exchanging cultures and traditions we advance the cooperation between the Serbian and Greek people, learn and understand more, and in that way we can help one another”, stressed Arsic.

Representative of the Sinies folk dance ensemble Yannis Gornelis said that the spirit of togetherness and mutual support need to be cultivated. He agreed that culture connects people.

The address was followed by a performance of the Sinies folk dance ensemble.
