Head of National Assembly Standing Delegation to PABSEC MA Igor Becic Takes Part in Observing Parliamentary and Presidential Elections in Bulgaria

MA Igor Becic, Head of the standing delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), took part in the PABSEC delegation that observed the parliamentary and presidential elections in the Republic of Bulgaria, on 14 November 2021.

The PABSEC delegation also comprised PABSEC vice-president and Head of the Romanian delegation to PABSEC Lorant-Zoltan Sas and PABSEC Secretary General Asaf Hajiyev.

As part of the international observation mission, MP Igor Becic visited a number of polling stations in different districts in Sofia, confirming that the election process was conducted in line with democratic standards and valid procedures and regulations.

The parliamentary and presidential elections in Bulgaria were deemed to have proceeded in a transparent and democratic atmosphere, with no irregularity. As a general conclusion, the PABSEC delegation confirmed the good organisation of the management of the election process in the Republic of Bulgaria.

In the course of the observation mission to Bulgaria, MP Becic had a series of meetings, among others with the head of the Bulgarian delegation to PABSEC Petar Kanev, where the two officials confirmed the good bilateral relations between the two countries.
