In that regard, Mircetic said that he noticed certain similarities with the activities carried out by President Aleksandar Vucic which make Serbia the economic leader in our region. He opined that the policy pursued by President Vucic, creates an attractive business environment conducive to the creation of new jobs, reduction of unemployment and progress.

Mircetic also mentioned the recent events that connect the two nations, like the understanding between Red Star football club with Malaysia for the Red Star academy franchise in Malaysia, and the foundation of a friendship club between Serbia and Malaysia two years ago by Viktor Lazic who is also its president.

Head of Mission Khairul Tazril Tarmizi said he was most pleased with the fact that the PFG would consist of 19 MPs, adding that our two countries have a solid basis to improve relations across the board. He also said that there is room to improve cooperation in the field of economy, sports and education.

Speaking of education, Vuk Mircetic informed the guest about project "World in Serbia", a significant contribution to international cooperation, which provides scholarships for students from Malaysia, among others.

Viktor Lazic, the founder of the friendship club between Serbia and Malaysia and President of the Association for Culture, Art and International Cooperation "Adligat", who also took part in the meeting stressed that the goal of this association is to improve overall relations between the two countries. He informed the attending that his private book museum boasts more than two million books, including a significant number of books from Malaysia, as well as objects from this distant country.
