Gojkovic said that today, as the Day of Victory over Fascism and Europe Day is an excellent opportunity to send the message that we want to build good relations between Serbia and Bosnia and in the region at large, through dialogue and cooperation.

The Serbian Parliament Speaker said that parliamentarians, as representatives of the citizens, play a pivotal role in promoting relations and resolving outstanding issues through dialogue and cooperation, adding that EU accession is the shared goal of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, one that Bosnia and Herzegovina has Serbia’s full support for.

The officials stressed that interparliamentary cooperation is an important segment of the new relations and that there is significant room to advance cooperation at the level of committees, especially European integration and foreign affairs, as well as parliamentary friendship groups.

Gojkovic also discussed cooperation in other fields with the BiH Parliamentary delegation, especially economy, saying that we prized the development of this cooperation and that revitalization of the infrastructure connecting the two countries is a common interest, as is working together on energy projects and joint ventures on third markets.
