Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman and Head of PFG with China Meets with Delegation of Chinese City of Nantong

The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee and Head of the PFG with China Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic met today at the National Assembly with a delegation of the Chinese city of Nantong and on the occasion stressed that the cooperation between Serbia and China has been on the rise across the board in the last few years and that Serbia is China’s most important partner in this part of Europe.

Obradovic said that the interparliamentary cooperation is intensive as evidenced by the exchange of parliamentary visits at the highest level and the establishment of the Commission for Cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the Chinese National People's Congress.

The meeting also touched on the importance of deepening cooperation at the local level, in view of the fact that the delegation of the Chinese city of Nantong was in fact in official visit to the city municipality of Zvezdara. The guests and hosts agreed that there is room to advance cooperation in the fields of economy and education and to organize student exchanges between the Serbia and Chinese local self-governments.
