The Chairman of the Election Campaign Supervisory Board Svetislav Goncic stressed that an exchange of knowledge and experiences can significantly improve the two bodies’ operation. He informed the Chairman and members of the Temporary Supervisory Body for Media Monitoring about the Supervisory Board’s activities, its structure and mode of operation.

The Chairman of the Temporary Supervisory Body for Media Monitoring Rade Veljanovski pointed out that observing the upcoming elections not the only question here, what is also at hand are the two bodies’ observations, experiences and suggestions that would remain for future elections. Stressing that this was the first time that a temporary supervisory body has been set up, he expressed satisfaction that everything set out in the Agreement on Improving Electoral Conditions was done on their part, in order to improve media conditions. Emphasis was placed on the balance in the provision of media services, with special attention to possible abuse of the "functionary campaign" and enabling each participant in the election process to have the opportunity to present their programme.

In the course of the meeting, the members of the two supervisory bodies agreed that they need to focus both on the pre- and post-election period, announcing that after the elections, both bodies would submit reports in which they would state their observations, as well as ask questions of competence and status of the bodies they are members of.
