Eighth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015

At the request of 187 MPs, National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic convened the Eighth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015, for Monday, 23 February, starting at 10 am.


The request to hold the session set the following agenda:

1. Bill amending the Law on Certification of Signatures, Manuscripts and Copies, jointly submitted by MPs Maja Gojkovic, Biljana Pantic Pilja, Olgica Batic, Dragan Nikolic, Dragan Polovina, Vesna Simic and Nedjo Jovanovic.

The National Assembly commenced a debate in principle on the Bill amending the Law on Certification of Signatures, Manuscripts and Copies. MP Olgica Batic provided the rationale for the Bill as the representative of the submitters.

By the end of the day, the National Assembly had concluded the debate in principle on the only item on the agenda.

On the second day of the proceedings, 25 February, the National Assembly discussed in detail the Bill amending the Law on Certification of Signatures, Manuscripts and Copies, jointly submitted by MPs Maja Gojkovic, Biljana Pantic Pilja, Olgica Batic, Dragan Nikolic, Dragan Polovina, Vesna Simic and Nedjo Jovanovic.

By the end of the proceedings, the National Assembly had concluded the debate in detail on the Bill amending the Law on Certification of Signatures, Manuscripts and Copies.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on the Bill, National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic set Wednesday, 25 February 2015, as Voting Day on the only item on the agenda for the Eighth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015, starting at 2.30 pm.

Voting Day

On Voting Day, 25 February, by majority vote, the National Assembly passed the Bill amending the Law on Certification of Signatures, Manuscripts and Copies.

On Voting Day, the National Assembly also ruled on the violations of the Rules of Procedure the MPs complained of in the course of the session and decided that none of the provisions of the Rules of Procedure had been violated.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on the only item on the agenda and ruled on it, the Chair, National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic concluded the Eighth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015.
