Diaspora and Serbs in the Region Committee Deputy Chairman Milimir Vujadinovic Hosts Maribor Folklore Ensemble at National Assembly
The Deputy Chairman of the Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region Milimir Vujadinovic and Committee member Sanja Lakic received a group of performers of the SKD Maribor folklore ensemble at the request of the President of the Association of Serbs of Slovenia Vladimir Kokanovic.
Vujadinovic welcomed the guests to the National Assembly House, saying that the Serbs in the region are a bridge of good cooperation with the countries they come from. He informed them about the work of the National Assembly and the relevant Committee, pointing out that in the past decade, Serbia has been in a much better position than before to pay special attention and take care of the Serbs who live outside of its borders.
Sanja Lakic asked the guests from Slovenia to protect their Serbian identity and also to take advantage of the study scholarships offered by Serbia.
The group of performers of SKD Maribor folklore ensemble had the opportunity to tour the building of the National Assembly House and learn about its rich history, while Vladimir Kokanovic took the opportunity to thank the Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region for their hospitality.
