The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, set Thursday, 23 April 2009, starting at 10 a.m., as a Day to respond to deputies’ questions regarding the current issue:

ECONOMIC POLICY (NEW TAXES, CUT IN LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT FINANCING VOLUME ETC.) TO BE PURSUED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA AT THE REQUEST OF THE INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND UNDER THE AGREEMENT ON NEW LOAN ARRANGEMENT TO LAST UNTIL APRIL 2011, proposed by the Forward Serbia Deputy Group.

In addition, the Serbian Radical Party Deputy Group proposed that certain ministers and other officials at the Government of the Republic of Serbia respond to deputies’ questions regarding the issue:

LEGALITY OF THE DISSOLUTION OF THE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY OF ZEMUN AND CREATION OF THE PROVISIONAL AUTHORITY OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ZEMUN.

Mirko Cvetkovic, Prime Minister, Ivica Dacic, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Milan Markovic, Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Snezana Malovic, Minister of Justice and Svetozar Ciplic, Minister of Human and Minority Rights were invited to respond to the questions regarding these issues.

The ministers and other Government officials will respond to the deputies’ questions at the Great Hall of the House of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 13 Nikola Pasic Square.
