Continuation of Public Hearing on Draft Law amending and modifying Law on Environmental Protection and Draft Law amending and modifying Law on Waste Management

In the continuation of the Environmental Protection Committee’s public hearing on the Draft Law amending and modifying the Law on Environmental Protection and the Draft Law amending and modifying the Law on Waste Management, on 26 November, the Committee members, representatives of the competent ministry and public experts discussed suggestions, proposals and objections to the draft laws.

Dr Branislav Blazic, Chairman of the Environmental Protection Committee, concluded the public hearing saying that the Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection will meet at a sitting to discuss the implementation of the received proposals of amendments and modifications. He announced that the Committee plans to make public hearings on draft laws common practice so as to ensure the drafting of comprehensive, top quality bills.
