95th Sitting of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending

At the sitting held on 27 November, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending considered a number of the acts proposed for the agenda of the Seventh Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2019.


The Committee adopted the proposal of the Committee Chairperson to complete a joint and single debate on items 1 to 9 on the agenda in line with Article 76 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.

The Committee was presented the Proposal of the Decision to Grant Consent to the Decision amending the Fund for Social Insurance of Military Insured 2019 Financial Plan, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Mandatory Social Insurance Contributions, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Tax Procedure and Tax Administration, Bill amending and modifying the Personal Income Tax Law, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Republic Administrative Fees, Bill amending and modifying the Property Tax Law, Bill on the Expiration of the Law on Temporary Regulation of Salary and Other Steady Income Calculation and Payment Bases of Public Fund Users, Bill amending and modifying the Corporate Tax Law and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Taxes on Use, Possession and Carrying of Goods by representatives of the submitters Jelena Tanaskovic and Slavica Slavicic, state secretaries at the Ministry of Finance, and the Director of the Fund for Social Insurance of Military Insured Radan Kostic.

Following a debate the Committee accepted all the proposed acts and went on to consider the Report of the Working Group for the assessment of the eligibility of candidates in the nomination process for the election of President and four members of the Council of the Commission for State Aid Control. Dr Milorad Mijatovic, Head of the Working Group, presented the Report saying that the Working Group had on 20 November reviewed the received applications and accompanying documentation and concluded that of the 17 timely applications, two do not meet the public call criteria, while 15 do. The Committee accepted the Working Group’s Report and decided to interview the eligible candidates on 3 December 2019 at noon.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Dr Aleksandra Tomic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Zoran Bojanic, Olivera Pesic, Srbislav Filipovic, Goran Kovacevic, Zoltan Pek, Tanja Tomasevic Damnjanovic, Sonja Vlahovic, Momo Colakovic, Dr Milorad Mijatovic, Zoran Despotovic and Vladimir Djuric.
