45th Sitting of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending
At the sitting held on 27 June, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending discussed the National Anti-Corruption Strategy Proposal in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2013 to 2018.
The representative of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration who presented the Proposal to the Committee members said that the drafting of the strategy was accompanied by the drafting of an activity plan covering the 10 areas the strategy relates to, adding that both the drafting and the comprehensive public debate involved more than 120 experts from the governmental and non-governmental sector. The Strategy is divided into two chapters since it is a five-year i.e. medium-term strategy, where the first part relates to the preparation of a systemic anti-corruption mechanism, and the second to specific areas the anti-corruption struggle is to be conducted in.
Following a short debate, the Committee members unanimously adopted the National Anti-Corruption Strategy Proposal in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2013 to 2018.
The sitting was chaired by Vesna Kovac, Committee Chairperson.
