32nd Sitting of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications

At the sitting held on 16 October, the members of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications considered the bills proposed for the agenda of the Second Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2018.


The Bill on Construction Products, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Planning and Construction, Bill amending and modifying the Building Legalization Law, Bill amending and modifying the Air Transport Law, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Transport of Dangerous Goods, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Investigation in Air, Rail and Water Traffic Accidents, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Road Transport of Passengers, Bill amending and modifying the Law on National Affiliation and Registration of Vessels, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Maritime Navigation and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Framework Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Hungary in the Area of Infrastructure Projects were presented by State Secretary Aleksandra Damnjanovic and Assistant Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zoran Ilic.

Assistant Minister Zoran Ilic said that the Bill on Construction Products leans on EU regulations and aims to make sure that the construction products used in buildings are fully up to code and ensure the competitiveness of domestic providers on the domestic and EU market, as well as other global markets.

The Bill amending and modifying the Law on Planning and Construction was presented by State Secretary Aleksandra Damnjanovic who said that boosts the efficiency, speed and transparency of building permit issuance. The deadline for the submission of documents is set at 15 days with the option of electronic submission to further expedite planning and construction.

The Bill amending and modifying the Building Legalization Law aims to expedite the legalization of already constructed buildings and prevent further illegal construction. Damnjanovic said that the 2015 satellite visibility test is obligatory for all buildings undergoing legalization.

Assistant Minister Zoran Ilic went on to present the rest of the bills on the agenda, the chief characteristic of which is adjustment to international standards and regulations.

The Committee members adopted all the bills by majority vote.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Katarina Rakic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Ivana Nikolic, Ivana Stojiljkovic, Ognjen Pantovic, Jasmina Karanac, Stefana Miladinovic, Krsto Janjusevic, Vladimir Petkovic, Dr Dragan Vesovic and Snezana B. Petrovic.
