At the sitting held on 28 February 2025, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending launched proceedings for the election of the President of the Council of the State Audit Institution.
Committee Chairman Veroljub Arsic reminded the Committee members that the mandate of Dusko Pejovic, DRI President, had expired on 10 February 2025, on the day he met the conditions for mandatory retirement. At the proposal of the Committee Chairman the Committee decided to, in line with practice, send a memo to the parliamentary groups in the National Assembly asking them to nominate candidates within 15 days from its reception. In line with Article 203 paragraph 3 on the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee will organise an interview with the candidates.
The Committee also adopted the Decision to launch proceedings for the determination of candidates for the election of one member of the Republic Commission for Protection of Rights in Public Procedure Procedures. The public call will be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, Politika daily and on the National Assembly website.
The Committee members went on to, unanimously, adopted the Decision on the Establishment of the Working group tasked with ascertaining the compliance with conditions of the nomination of candidates for the election of President of the Commission for State Aid Control. The Committee members accepted the proposal of the Committee Chairman that the Working Group should be headed Jasmina Palurovic and include as members MA Svetlana Milijic, Nenad Krstic, Pedja Mitrovic and Dr Nenad Mitrovic.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Veroljub Arsic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Nenad Krstic, Ilo Mihajlovski, Mgr Akos Ujhelyi, Zagorka Aleksic, Jasmina Palurovic, Tijana Davidovac, Snezana Paunovic, Ana Beloica Martac and MA Svetlana Milijic.
