Committee Chairman Veroljub Arsic informed the Committee members that the parliamentary groups had submitted candidate proposals for the election of the new President, Vice-President and three members of the DRI Council, viz. “ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – TOGETHER WE CAN DO ANYTHING” Parliamentary Group had proposed Dusko Pejovic for DRI Council President, Nevenka Bojanic, Marijana Simovic and Ljiljana Dimitrijevic for DRI Council members; PUPS - Solidarity and Justice Parliamentary Group had proposed Dusko Pejovic for DRI Council President, Nevenka Bojanic, Marijana Simovic and Ljiljana Dimitrijevic for DRI Council members; IVICA DACIC - Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) Parliamentary Group had proposed Marija Obrenovic for DRI Council Vice-President and the People’s Party Parliamentary Group had proposed Maja Radosavljevic for President of the DRI Council.

Reviewing the documentation, it was ascertained that candidate Maja Radosavljevic lacks auditing and accounting certification, therefore the candidacy lacks the legal requisites needed for it to be considered, which the People’s Party Parliamentary Group was appraised of and in turn requested that the same candidacy be considered as candidacy for DRI Council member. Such a proposal of candidate is untimely, which the People’s Party Parliamentary Group was appraised of, and that the candidacy of Maja Radosavljevic would not be taken into consideration.

The Committee members then interviewed Dusko Pejovic, candidate for DRI Council President, Marija Obrenovic, candidate for DRI Council Vice-President, followed by Nevenka Bojanic, Marijana Simovic and Ljiljana Dimitrijevic, candidates for DRI Council members.

Following the interviews, the Committee voted on each candidate in turn and then, by majority vote, ascertained the Proposal of the Decision on the election of President, Vice-President and three members of the Council of the State Audit Institution (DRI) and proposed that the National Assembly elect Dusko Pejovic for DRI Council President, Marija Obrenovic for DRI Council Vice-President Nevenka Bojanic, Marijana Simovic and Ljiljana Dimitrijevic for DRI Council members. The Committee also decided, by majority vote, to forward the Decision Proposal to the National Assembly to be considered under urgent procedure, pursuant to Article 167 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.
